I bought this book as a birthday present for my 2 year old son, as he loves all things transporty and because I LOVED reading him 'Ooh La la Max in Love' by the same author. I thought the style (of Max in Love) was fantastic and very funny with great rhymes and banter throughout, so imagine my surprise to open this and find 3 double spread paintings of the 9-11 disaster with planes about to hit the towers, inferno buildings and the smoking wreckage! Pretty hideous given my expectations and wildly unsuitable for my little guy's birthday so I am returning it! I do see that this book could be helpful to any children affected by the disaster (more likely in the States) it covers the story of a rescue boat. I've never written a review before, but was fed up that nothing at all was written about this book on Amazon, so it was impossible to make an informed choice about buying it.
