5.0 out of 5 stars Mallory is back, 31 Aug 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Crime School (Hardcover)
After the good yet slightly disappointing "Shell game", Carol O'connell is back in true form. With plenty of glimpses into Mallory's childhood on the streets as well as a gripping mystery, this book delivers what readers of the Mallory series have come to expect. I still think that O'connell's best book is the only one not featuring Mallory (Judas child), but this is another fine read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Mallory story, 21 Sep 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Crime School (Hardcover)
Mallory and Riker are a fascinating police partnership, despite a deep bond they still can't trust each other. As well as an excellent murder/dtective story with the usual twist at the end, we learn a bi more about Mallory's early life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mallory is Back, 17 Sep 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Crime School (Hardcover)
Once again carol O'Connell has produced an excellent novel. The plot is a page-turner looking into Mallory's past on the streets and a particularly gruesome series of murders. Even better the writer is an expert at characterisation even those featured for a few pages are expertly described. There is no real need to read the past novels first (though I do recommend them!) this serves as a great introduction to an excellent crime-writer
