5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 27 Oct 2003

An excellent book, suitable for all standards at university levels. This book is especially good at describing the core theory, with its basic principles and assumptions. So if ever you are lost whilst undertaking a complex and advanced research, you can easily refer back to this book for a look at the basic theoretical understandings.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good introduction, 11 Jan 2004
This is an excellent book for 1st year undergraduates of Economics. However, 2nd and 3rd year degree students should really be reading Varians "Microeconomic Analysis" or Gravelles and Rees' "Microeconomics"(although the mathematic notation is a little archaic). My University recommended this book only for first years - it was considered too simplistic for Finals.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Text Book - Don't Miss on It, 28 Jul 1999
By A Customer
The presentation of the theory is superb - straightforward simple english and to the point, and occassionally laced with humor!!. Many many examples to articulate concepts. The depth of coverage for an intermediate course is clearly sufficient. The book makes very interesting reading. My suggestion to students: read the book with just some basic knowledge of calculus, and a bit of scalar algebra, you will fully agree with all what I said above.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - irrespective of your level
Excellent book - perhaps just a bit too crowded with maths. Covers all essential about microeconomics for an extended undergraduate course. Extremely CLEAR and concise.
