Product Description

Product Description
Starting from the premise that conflicts lie at the core of emotional distress, the author contends that guiding resolution of specific conflicts and coaching more effective patterns for dealing with conflict constitute the essential work of psychotherapists.

From the Author
For whom was this book written?
From Conflict to Resolution was primarily written for psychotherapists. It offers an integrative treatment model. That is, the book is for therapists who want to be able to utilize a wide diversity of therapy techniques unified within one comprehensive guiding framework.

The book also seems to strike a strong chord for people interested in theory and techniques of conflict resolution. Lawyers, for instance, tell me that the ideas in the book prove especially useful for them. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

By A Customer
Dr. Heitler pulls together all the various kinds of therapy, uniting them under one umbrella concept--conflict. She then gives you the most detailed explanations of how to do therapy, and a ton of examples, so you can be a much better therapist. If you are a self-help person this book also could be very enlightening.
