I'd been waiting so long to read the book, and it was well worth the wait. I read it in about 4hrs, n i cant wait for the last one in the series. The story starts with Sephy and her newborn baby Callie Rose, the book shows the struggle Sephy has to go through to do the best for her baby. It also shows what happens to Jude as he attempts to make Sephy pay for what she has done, along with every Cross he meets! The book is both like and unlike "Noughts and Crosses" in that it is set in "diary" form, but instead of it being from just two peoples points of view it is from Sephy's, Jude's, Minerva's, Meggie's(Callum's Mother) and Jasmine's(Sephy's mother). This adds an interesting twist to the story. It is a heart renching story of love, revenge, hatred and disloyalty that keeps you hooked and wanting more. The end is a suprise that I didn't even think of, like "Noughts and Crosses" this book left on a cliffhanger and a tear jerker of an ending making me cry. This is better even than "Noughts and Crosses" which i didnt think was possible! This is a "must read" for all you bookworms out there, and for all those who enjoyed Noughts and Crosses.

My friend had lent me Noughts and Crosses, the best book ive ever read, and when it was finished i wished more than anything that there was a sequel. I found it, and it didnt disappoint. The opening lend on nicely from the first book and it sucked me in from the first chapter. I like the fact that Jude is one of the chracters they follow, as he is a mystery figure of sorts in the first book, and he turns out to be a compelling character with his own problems and dilemnas. He is also unpredictable, and the sudden plot twist (which i wont reveal) really shocked me. Sephy does turn out to be kind of whiny and moody, which kind of lowered my idea of her as a heroine... The band section was quite well thought out though i think, highlighting the gap between noughts and crosses even more, as did the newspaper sections. Towards the end, things start going bad for both characters, especially Jude, and even though he is an evil predujiced terroist, you still root for him, which shows what an amazing writer Malorie is too draw you in to this sick world and its characters, no matter what they are like. Overall this book is a great read, the only fault is it didnt last long enough. Bring on the sequel! (Please?)

I wasn't sure I wanted to read Knife Edge. I loved Noughts and Crosses so much, I didn't want to read a sequel that wasn't an equal to the first book. But this book is just as good, if not better than the first one. I bought Knife Edge this morning and by the afternoon, I'd finished reading it. I don't see how any book this year could be better. The newspaper articles were brilliant, as were the rainbow sections. The whole thing just left me wanting the story to never end. Like Oliver, I wanted a lot more. The story covers the first year of Callie Rose's life but it's more about Sephy trying to carry on without Callum, and Jude trying everything he can to ruin Sephy's life. And the end was totally shocking. I didn't see it coming at all. Now I'm desperate to read the last one in the trilogy. It's driving me nuts that I'm going to have to wait until the next book comes out to know what happens next. Knife Edge was definitely worth the wait, but please, please - if you're reading this Miss Blackman - don't make us wait too long for the last part.
