5.0 out of 5 stars good to work with for EFL teachers, 15 Mar 2002
By m.stucke@gmx.de (Horn-Bad Meinberg, Germany) - See all my reviews
I'm a EFL teacher in Germany and read the book in an 8th year at Horn_Bad Meinberg Grammar School (4th year of English). The pupils worked well and didn't have any problems understanding the book. Some even complained about its simplicity. The story is thrilling, offeres a number of interesting characters and adapted version offered various gaps which the pupils could fill in loads of different ways: drawings, performances, conversations, letters, diary entries... We spent about ten lessons on reading and to me it was worth every minute.
But mind you - that's the teachers view. Please read my pupils' comments as well!

2.0 out of 5 stars They are in danger, 15 Mar 2002
By A Customer
I think the book "The Client" is an exciting book
but the pictures in it are terrible.
The story is about a boy who knows a horrible secret. The Mafia follows him and his family. So they are in danger. Maybe you watched the movie but also you can read the book. It's thinn but if you like exciting Mafia and FBI stories you have to read it.

I think that"the client" is a interesting and exiting story about a 11 years boy who knows a dangerous secret. As well I find it great that also people can read it who don't speak english very well.
