Fans of Paretsky and the female PI may not have come across Linda Barnes, who so far doesn't seem to have enjoyed the success she deserves in this country. If that's you, you're in for a treat! Smart, well plotted and with a likeable heroine, this book is a fast paced and enjoyable read.
