3.0 out of 5 stars Not from the same stable as her other books., 15 Jul 2004
By A Customer
Mason St Clair, the new earl of Ashlin needs a rich wife (he is broke) but falls for actress Riley Fontaine but someone is trying to kill her!
From the start of the book you know that really she is a titled lady. Plus its obvious who would be trying to kill her.
Amazingly enough although she is an actress she is 'pure' and he is celebate.
I think that the other characters - his nieces, cousin, and friends etc are the best bit and make it worth a read. If you have not read any of Elizabeth Boyles books then try a different one first because they are so much better.

4.0 out of 5 stars entertaining, 28 Nov 2007
By Lindymck (Falkirk, Scotland) - See all my reviews
lord ashlin and riley fontaine cross paths when a debt needs to be repayed and through various events they fall in love but their pride gets in the way so they wont admit it to each other. lord ashlin has a cousin and 3 nieces that he is determined to get married and out of his house. this adds up to very entertaining read although it would have been nice to have seen the individual stories told but maybe the story in your imagination is more fun.
