I have read lots of Johanna Lindsey books and this one is definetly my favourite. You couldn't help liking the characters, Angel with his morals and his sense of humour, how is perceived as being a very ruthless and dangerous man, and Cassie, a small woman who doesn't shut up and is unlike anyone Angel has ever encountered.Unlike many people she doesn't fear Angel, much to his annoyance and watching the clash is pure pleasure. Angel appears briefly in savage thunder and you get a taste of him which makes you curious and let me tell you, he is a gem, if it were not for him and Cassie the book would merely be average, they bring it to life. Reading the encounters between the two is hilarious at times, poor Angel is simply flummoxed by her. The ending is brilliant and you see how much they love each other, i realise i am being sentimental but the book has so much feeling you finish it with a sigh, glad that they are happy and all has ended well, but ultimately wishing the book weren't over.

I'VE ALWAYS LIKED JL BOOKS AND THIS BOOK IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF ALL AROUND PLEASURE. ANGEL'S UNKNOWN BACKROUND AND HIS OWN SENSE OF HONOR, AND THEY WAY HE JUST COULDN'T KEEP AWAY. THE WAY JL PUT A LITTLE EXTRA WITH THE PANTHER KEEPS NOT ONLY ANGEL ON HIS TOES BUT MYSELF AS WELL. I HAVE READ THIS BOOK REPEATEDLY. EVEN THOUGH I KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN I GET SO ENGROSSED THAT I FORGET I'M NOT READING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME, EVERYTIME.

I really liked Angel and Cassie together. I have to admit I wanted more than anything for Angel to be happy. It broke my heart when he felt that Cassie would never want a man like him. All he wanted was to be wanted and not feared. My favorite part was when he asked her if "they" touched her and she said no, they weren't attracted to her and he saying they must be blind. What a sweetheart he was. I have to admit that I wasn't very happy with her mother for some time. I didn't like it that she tried to tell Cassie what to do with HER life. As all of JL's books, the endings are incredible.
