I bought this book some years ago, filed it, and didn't read it until recently, because the book's title and cover kept coming to me unbidden. Whatever prompted me to first buy this book and then read it had my best interests at heart, because it has been there for me at just the right time. As a fearless introduction to the subject of N.D.E.s it is without peer. More than that, it has started me in a new direction personally, spiritually and religiously. There is a compassion in these pages that transcends the conscious intent of the author - or perhaps I'm underestimating P.M.H. Atwater. If I am, then it'll be the first and the last time I do. I'm exploring her other books soon, and would hope the same for any who read this review.

I have read many books on this subject lately, and all are fascinating. This however was the best. it is well written, unafraid to state the controversial, really gripping. I feel lucky I found this author. this is one of the most amazing books I have ever read (and I have read a few!). I will definitely be getting another book by her as soon as I can afford it. cheers all!
