Sorry but this was another same old same old. I agree with the other reviewer about getting rid of mildred wyeth her character has ruined the series for me and i too would like to see her get killed off. The other characters like J.B.Dix and Doc tanner are great; perhaps we could have an episode where the other characters are incapacitated some how and these two get to save the day. JB certainly deserves a more meaty role as one of the longest running characters in the series. After reading Lucifer Wars where we have a much more realistic and bloodthirsty version of apocalypse survival i have to say that deathlands has become very flat and the plot lines very predictable. in the early days we saw central characters get killed off with almost every book and they were replaced by new ones. By book eight we had seven characters and now sixty+ books later we still have the same ones; time for some fresh blood. Can we have the real 'stickies' back as well instead of these lame muties that the later books have produced. i think the writing pool needs a real shakedown if this series is going to survive critics like myself for much longer. very dissapointed.

Well it was another exiting adventure, a little samey and easily comparable with dark reconing. As long as you can forgive the writing pool for forgetting some of the earlier rules of the deathlands and the fact that central characters have had slight personality changes then you can enjoy this book for what it is. violence and bloodshed for the sake of it and bravo for that. i do think that James Axler would be slightly displeased by characters such as Myldred wyeth and i cant wait for the day that she gets killed off.
