This is a heart warming tale of love, innocence and vengeance. Hope bishop was orphaned at a very young age and was raised by her billionaire grandfather. Her grandfather was a man of the old school, not very good at showing his affection, although he made sure that Hope was well cared for but his business got more of his personal attention than Hope did. Having recovered from a heart attack, her grandfather had re-evaluated his priorities and wanted to make amends for his neglect of Hope. He showered her with expensive gifts, but Hope was not easily impressed by money and worldly things. For 5 years Hope had secretly loved and admired Luciano di Valerio from afar. It was not until her grandfather witnessed a kiss between her and the Sicilian tycoon on New Years' Eve that he figured out what would really make Hope happy. He set out to please his granddaughter by blackmailing the Sicilian tycoon into marrying Hope. Luciano's family pride was on the line. He swore he would wreak vengeance on the old man once he secured the deal- to regain his family's shipping company.
Luciano believed that Hope was an innocent and possibly had nothing to do with her grandfather's machinations; he was going to marry her but will leave her out of his vengeance plans. However when after their honeymoon, he misinterpreted a conversion he overhead between Hope and her grandfather, Luciano embarked on a Sicilian vengeance that will leave the fragile, innocent and trusting Hope battered and heart broken. Was breaking the heart of this woman who gave her love unreservedly worth it in the end? - Luciano was a tortured and broken man when he was faced with the possibility of losing Hope. Will `Sicilian love' override `Sicilian vengeance'?

This is an enchanting and beautifully told story. Lucy Monroe is a great writer and with this book she captured the essence of the saying `what you do for your neighbour you do in reality only for yourself' in other words what ever you do to others comes back to you manifold. Luciano's vengeance ended up hurting him more than whatever he thought Hope's grandfather did to him. In the end he was grateful to the old man for he realised that he had been in love with Hope since that fated New Year's Eve kiss. I particularly liked the heroine Hope, who was so innocent, unassuming and kind. Her ability to trust and forgive in spite of everything she was put through was very inspiring. She was a ray of sunshine, Hope by name, Hope by nature This is a definite keeper.

A strong alpha, a young girl who for years loved this sexy Italian! Blackmailed into marriage! Secrets! Passion! How much better can it get? Again, another Lucy Monroe book I couldn't put down once I began. This is such a powerful and intense love story.

Hope Bishop had been raised without parents and by her wealthy grandfather who only had time for his business and business associates. For Hope, life was very lonely and as she matured and first set eyes on the sexy millionaire Luciano de Valerio she was smitten. For years she had loved this man from afar and when he turns up at a New Years Eve party and kisses her at midnight, she's sure of her love for this man.

Luciano iis not only handsome and wealthy, he's a successful businessman. He is very loyal to his family and family business so when Hope's grandfather approaches him with a deal, a deal to get his families business back by marrying his granddaughter, what choice does he have? Luciano thinks Hope is sweet, loving and tender and that she will make him a wonderful Sicilian wife but he doesn't count on the attraction between them. Lucy takes this attraction and makes it a dance, a dance and journey you won't want to miss.

I wonder how many women have had crushes or loved for years without that person realizing it?.. If you had the chance and someone could make it possible, what would be your choice?
