The first time I read this book to my daughter, I wished I'd read it through myself first, because the ending was so lovely that I almost burst into tears reading it aloud! A lovely book, brilliant for anyone whose mummy is just about to go into hospital, but excellent anyway. I love Charlotte Hudson's work - it always has a message without being obvious, annoying or hammering it home. Really lovely.

This is a lovely book, gentle and comic too. I was an ill mummy in hospital for a few weeks and my daughters aged 2 and 4 chose it as their bedtime story most nights. The children made up all sorts of sub-plots involving the background characters, and can still recite whole chunks of the story. Wobbly Fang was an important part of their lives during that confusing time, and even now they get a faraway look in their eyes when it is read to them.
