Product Description

Product Description
To the scions of Shannara had fallen three tasks: Par must find the fabled Sword of Shannara. This he has accomplished, but he believes he has killed his brother, Coll. Rimmer Dall, the Federation's Chief Seeker, has planted an awful thought in Par's mind - that he himself is Shadowen, the very evil he seeks to destroy. Wren is in the Westland, seeking out the elves. And in the Northland ...Walker Boh has been commanded by the shade of Allanon to discover the lost city of Paramor and recreate the Order of Druids, disbanded these three hundred years. To begin this he must find the Black Elfstone, but the gem is in the hands of an ancient being of timeless evil - the Stone King. Beset on all sides by enemies, and his own self-doubt, Walker sets out on his part of the perilous quest which will either bring success - or destruction. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, 28 May 2002
I'd started to read The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara series last year (and unfortunately haven't been able to finish it as the third book isn't on sale yet (;_;)) and I read this series to fill the gap. And it was great! This book was excellent, as with all of Brooks' works. The way he makes me feel a part of the story has made me a life long fan, and this book is no exception.

If you like authors of fantasy books, you'll love this (but make sure you read the rest of the series first so you know what its going on about!)! READ IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Book, 19 Jan 2001
By A Customer
The first three Shannara books gave you the legacy of the Druids but not what it took to become one. The Druid of Shannara takes you right to the core of what the Druid legacy means and how it shapes the lives it touches. Growing pains will never seem the same again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best in this series, 16 Feb 2007
By C. Parrott "CP" (Edinburgh) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This books is alot stronger than than any of the other Shannara books. I feel Terry Brooks has realy developed as a writer with this book.

In this book we see a few new chracters and we see deeper into Walker's dark and mysterious character.

A group of tortured souls are forced to work together as they face more difficult and dangerous challenges with the tension between the characterd gets so intence i expected them to kill each other before there task was over.

To top that there are some tragic twists and you can help but be moved.
