I have to confess, I read this book a long time ago and really I can only remember the title story. Infact i have been searching for this book for just that story for a number of years.

I wasn't aware of Primo Levi before I stumbled upon this book in my local library but since then I have read and enjoyed a number of his books. This book impressed me more by its simplistic yet involved style.

I found that although short, the stories had a depth that my own scribbles lack, in fact I'd dare say a good number of modern writers should read something like this just to see how to write something that draws a reader in.
