Like it's predecessor Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed is enjoyable for people who wouldn't normally read mecha manga, simply because of the human touch it manages to emphasise to strongly.
The story:
When a young "co-ordinator" (genetically enhanced human) named Kira living in the space colonies has his home attacked, he finds himself unwittingly thrown into a web of events that lead to him piloting the Strike Gundam against the evil group ZAFT.
The catch?
He's fighting against fellow "co-ordinators" on the side of the "naturals"-and it's only a matter of time before they find out who he really is...
It's fast paced with breathtaking artwork, and it follows exactly the same storyline as the anime.
A bonus is that it reads right to left in it's original format, and all the honorifics are left in, with a glossary at the back.
Very good reading.

breathtaking artwork; funny and cool characters; exciting storyline.
almost as good as Gundam Wing (but not quite), and can't wait for more books in this series.
it's worth the buy, even for first time manga readers.
real gundam quality!

According to the author himself, this is a remake of the original Gundam saga for the 21st century.
Like it's predecessor Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed is enjoyable for people who wouldn't normally read mecha manga, simply because of the human touch it manages to emphasise so strongly.
