5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent factual account, 9 Jun 2002
By S. Lovell (Bristol, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Leads the reader from the history of the submarine to it`s subsequent raising from the sea bed. The sequence of events is divided into easy to follow chapters. No `poetic licence` or supposition is used. The authors have only included what they know to be facts. Highly readable, you won`t want to put it down, especially during the latter stages of the book. These deal with the archaeological survey within the confines of the sub. and the resulting recovery of the remains of the crew. Read this and you`ll be booking the next flight to North Carolina to see the actual thing !!
