Jivamukti Yoga, which means "soul liberation" guides your body and soul into spiritual freedom, physical strength, peace of mind, better health, and self-realization-the ultimate goal of any yoga practice.
This book covers:
AHIMSA: a non-violent, compassionate lifestyle that emphasizes ethical vegetarian (better yet, vegan) and animal rights
BHAKTI : acknowlegment that God-realization is the goal of all yoga practices
MEDITATION : connecting to that eternal unchanging reality within
NADA YOGA : the development of a sound body and mind through deep listening
SCRIPTURE : study of the ancient yogic teachings, including Sanskrit chanting
GURU : the teacher you can see and feel. Their extraordinary teachers : Shri Brahmananda Saraswati, Swami Nirmalananda, and Shri K Pattabhi Jois
ASANA : vinyasa krama, the art of sequencing asana. There are basic to advanced classes given.

Our connection to the Earth should be steady and joyful. Mother Earth is the Goddess. Our steps should be gentle, living lightly. Life is sacred. We are connected to all beings that inhabit the Earth. We must be aware of our actions we create, choose to be kind, happy and peaceful.

There are some interesting stories in this book - and if you are a fun of 'flow' type yoga some good sequences. Not really possible to follow unless you have at least some experience in 'jivamukti' yoga. Black and white photos throughout some more gratuitous than others.
