Splendid Technological Seminar, 23 Jul 1998
By A Customer
A Technological Seminar of the First Order. Philadelphia lawyer Dana Svenssen emerges as a brilliant, complex, driven lawyer, whose technical, legal, creative, tough girl skills seem to know no bounds. Facing a daunting challenge in defending clients during an aviation disaster, she brings in the experts - and from them we learn. The technical knowledge range is awesome and educational. But it is presented in such a way that the plot keeps moving and the suspense heightens. As the author begins, "Certainty generally is illusion, and repose is not the destiny of man." (Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.)

A Spellbinding Thriller, 9 Mar 1998
By A Customer
I have read Bonnie MacDougal's previous novel, BREACH OF TRUST, and was completely enthralled. However, with this new novel, ANGLE OF IMPACT, MacDougal outdoes herself. The novel starts with a bang, and never stops moving. I found myself caught up in the action, and unable to put the book down. Dana Svenssen, MacDougal's main character, is a heroine unlike any I have ever encountered, and I found it easy to identify with her problems and triumphs. I would highly recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a fast-paced, high stakes thriller.

The talent is there, it just needs to be honed a bit, 18 Feb 1998
By A Customer
While rushing to a meeting, Philadelphia lawyer, Dana Svenssen is talking on her car phone with a client. Suddenly, the man's helicopter collides with a plane over an amusement park where Dana's two daughters are spending the day. Dana rushes over to the fiery site to insure that her beloved children are okay, which they are. Dana soon finds her car and her home have been burglarized as if someone was searching for something. She also learns that her client's crash was not an accident. However, knowing that makes things worse for Dana, who is now fighting for her life against an unknown assailant(s). ANGLE OF IMPACT is an interesting thriller, with action scenes that are very exciting. However, though Dana is as tough as any male SOB, she garners no empathy from readers. Worse yet, the secondary players have so little depth, they seem to be less than one-dimensional. All that aside, the action based storyline with its' jibes at the legal profession turn Bonnie MacDougal's novel into an exciting novel, though it is NO BREACH OF TRUST. Harriet Klausner
