Product Description

From the Author

Agatha Christie Award, Macavity Award winner
DO UNTO OTHERS starts the Jordan Poteet mystery series, set in the small Texas town of Mirabeau. I view Jordan as an Everyman for the 90s. He's devoted to his family, loyal to his friends, but hardly perfect as he tries to deal with the dark side of human nature in the crimes he investigates. DO UNTO OTHERS won the Agatha and Macavity Awards for Best First Novel; these awards are given by fans, the folks who plunk down their money for an entertaining read. If you like small-town settings, tart humor, family drama, and a regular hero you can root for, I hope you'll give Jordan a try.

The second I finished this book I ran out & bought the next three. Read them all within a week and I'm waiting for either another Jordan Poteet novel or a new series. Please Mr.Abbott- Get cracking on that! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Mystery With Even Better Characters!, 14 May 1998
By A Customer
If you were raised in a small town in Texas (or most southern states), you will undoubtedly recognize most of the characters in this book. The main character, Jordy Poteet is engaging and funny. The mystery is well crafted and the writing style is easygoing. Jeff Abbott started a winning series with this book!

Everyone who has ever lived in a Southern town will relate to the characters and the relationships. This author is outstanding and just seems to get better with each book

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding! This author is going places.
Mr. Abbott caught the flavor of small town Texas perfectly. I couldn't stop turning the pages, and my husband finally had to read it to see what was so funny. Read more
