4.0 out of 5 stars Desert watch, 17 July 2005
By Broderick "erza04" (Beaconsfield, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Deighton's anonymous British agent teams up with the Americans to collect a defecting Russian scientist in the Sahara Desert. As usual the agent never quite knows what is going on in the background, how much the Americans are telling him and who is trying to kill the defector. Plenty of action, plenty of suspense and plenty of laconic humour.
