About the Author

She is also a fitness and health columnist on several US magazines.

Highly recommended. This book should more properly be called 10 years healthier as it isn't necessarily just for those who want to lose weight.
It is easy to follow and helps you identify foods that don't work for you.
I've been following the regimen for 2.5 weeks and have never felt better. I lost 7cms from my hips and 5cms from my waist in the first 2 weeks.
Go for it you've got nothing to lose other than body fat.

I bought this book after a friend receommended it to me. I suspected my diet needed an overhaul as i wasnt feeling 'tip top'. Within a week of starting this easy to follow programme i felt better than i had done in years. I was able to identify the foods that my body didnt like and finally get rid of the high GI carbohydrate & sugar cravings, what a difference!! I had always been into running, but for the first 2 weeks i did only the exercise regime in this book and along with the diet lost 2 inches off my waist and 2 off my hips. I feel stronger, had more energy, was alot firmer, and surprisingly DO NOT miss any of the foods i craved before. This book is not just for weight loss, its about good health which is far more important :o)

Being a serial carboholic, participating in more than the occasional binge, you could not imagine how pleased I was to come across this. Everything in this book makes so much sense, and the rules are plain, simple and easy to follow. After being on this 'diet' for 4 weeks I am really seeing results. Believe it or not, there are no more cravings, I love my fruit and veg, and I really do feel ridiculously good. Obviously there is still a way to go, but I no longer feel in a hurry to reach my impossible goals. I really do recommend that you give this a shot - this truly is the last diet book you will need.
I also suggest looking at Dr. Lydon's online forum - a great source of knowledge and support.
