Product Description

Some girls are born to be bad...Isabel is one of them. Her friends are terrified of her, her teachers can't get through to her...her family doesn't understand her. And that's just the way she likes it. See, when no one can get near you, no one will know what keeps you awake at night, what you're afraid of, what has broken your heart...But then Isabel meets the enigmatic Smith, who can see right through her act. Bit by bit he chips away at her armour, and though she fights hard to keep hold of her cool, and her secrets, Isabel's falling for him, and coming apart at the seams when she does...A poignant, sometimes dark, and utterly heart-breaking novel, told with all the author's trademark wit and sharp observation...

5.0 out of 5 stars My favourite Book in the World. Literally., 26 Oct 2006
By Cate Preesley "Cate" (Manchester, UK) - See all my reviews
Oh. My. God. When I picked up this book, I have to admit that I was in a rush to find something to read on the plane, and I thought the cover looked really pretty (I know I sound really lame!) However, this book touched me like no other book has before. I can truthfully say it is the best book I have ever read. I can totally relate to Isabel's character; she is so much more deep and mysterious than most teen girls in most teen girl's books. She has a real dark side to her, and the way Sara Manning describes her feelings amazes me - throuhgout the book I felt like I really WAS Isabel herself! I am a HUGE fan of teenage romances, and I have never come across such brilliant writing about young love as in this book. It intimately depicts Isabel's relationship with Smith, and every moment and every feeling they share. When I finished the book, I found myself in tears, partly because it had touched me so much, but partly because the book had come to an end! Ever since reading it I have searched for something similar, but NOTHING compares itself to this book. I am still desperately hoping Sara Manning will write a sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars A moving tale..., 8 April 2006
By Natasha (Northern Ireland) - See all my reviews
As you read the book you get flashbacks mainly through Isabel's dreams about her mother's death and as you get further into it you start to realise that the death of her mother has changed a lot of things for her. You get a kind of sense that she's scared to let anyone in, holding her guard up and using people to get what she needs. Then she meets Smith, and he turns her life inside out...

4.0 out of 5 stars Dont get lost Sarra Manning!, 7 Aug 2006
By J-o-j-o (England) - See all my reviews
I absolutely love Sarra Manning and her books. They're funny, outstanding and lovely. I read Let's Get Lost and thought it was amazing, though different to her other books because of this, maybe it was a not quite as good as her others, guitar girl for instance. Saying that, I've still read it about 5 times, and reading again!
Please keep writing Sarra Manning! (oh and do buy this book, it's awesome!)
