5.0 out of 5 stars The Number 1 Fantasy Adventure!, 15 Feb 2006
By sam!!!!!! (Grimsby,England) - See all my reviews
A fantastic fantasy book that keeps you hooked from the moment you read the front cover to the moment you finish the last sentence.
With great characters such as Groan Teethgrit,a huge, thick, muscular barbarian who thinks he can take anyone on,and his equally strong, tall brother,Gape Teethgrit, but his brother has long hair and is much more intelligent, and with them is Groans companion, they both follow a small dwarf Gordo Goldaxe.
The book partly focuses on there adventure to find items for a princess.why? Well you'll have to read the book to find that out.........

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic- The best book yet, 12 July 2005
By A Customer
I have just finished reading the Shadwell Shananigans. I have to say it is without a doubt the best in the series yet. We see the return of groan and gordo who team up with Loogie a new and hilarious character (my favourite in this book I think). groan falls in love and drags gordo halfway across Illmoor in a quest to win his true love's hand....which in true Illmoor style leads to nothing but trouble. I couldn't put this one down, and I now can't wait for the fourth book. If you like comic fantasy or just funny books, or even adventure books, this one has it all. Just brilliant!!

This book is by far the best in the series. The only problem the story isn,t as good as the ratastrophe catastrophe.the characters are well developed and the dialoge is great.Overall i,d give it 9 out of 10
