4.0 out of 5 stars Useful, to the point and self-explanatory (mostly), 18 April 2001
By A Customer
As an A-level german student, I personally found this book to be fairly useful . This book explains the formation of tenses and writes out in full the verbs. Even when the verb you want is not one of the 200, you can still look them up in the back of the book where there is a list of about 3000. It tells you it's meaning and refers you to pages where the formation of it's tense is similar. At first, it explains the basic terms required to understand the book and I think it's quite self explanatory. One criticism of this book is that on 1 page the last line was printed half off the page. However these errors may not have occurred in later editions.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it, 12 Jul 2002
By A Customer
I find this book slightly useful, only slightly. There is basically not enough verbs in it. I know you've got the extra verb list at the back which is suppose to help you as it relates to some of the verbs alreay shown, but no, its confusing and I think Germans confusing enough to learn. Don't bother with this one go for the 501 German Verbs, I'm definately going to!!
