5.0 out of 5 stars Too old for love? Certainly not., 12 Nov 2003
By Jill Curtis "jillcurtis3" (london) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Too old for love? Certainly not. And if you don’t believe me read this book. At mid-life you may find yourself - for a variety of reasons - searching for that special someone.

How do you set about it? Where do you find that person? And how do you get back into the dating game? First of all Kon points out that if you are in your 40s 50s or even older you have to remember that it is not the same as dating in your teens and twenties.

This book is packed with all the information you need to help you on your way. It is important to be flexible and not to be too set on the idea of what you are looking for. Too many potential partners get passed over at first glance, so do your best to be open minded, and to give everyone a chance. At the very least you might find yourself a new friend. Also, as Kon points out, you may find it fun learning to like someone. Learning to be friends is the first step towards falling in love mid-life. Secondly select carefully the venues where you go to meet that new person - the wrong environment will tempt you to give up on the whole idea.

The book contains first-rate check lists and guides to where to go, how to behave, and how to present yourself. Tips on reading body language, and some questions to ask yourself about what you really want in a partner. Yes, some of the rules are different now - so get the whole picture - and remember to remain positive if a date doesn’t work out. Learn from it, and try again

An excellent read.
