5.0 out of 5 stars Iris Johansen, The Search, 8 Jul 2001
By A Customer
What a fabulous book. I found it quite unputdownable sitting up late into the night desperate to find out 'who dun it'. Sarah and her dog Monty, the undoubted stars of the show, totally engage your emotions - I have never worried about a dog quite so much. The story flows, with the suspense never diminishing and the ending is quite superb. I can't recomend it highly enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, an enthralling read., 7 Jul 2001
By A Customer
This is the first novel that I've read of Iris Johansen's, and it certainly won't be the last. I was intrigued from the outset by the synopsis, and found that I wasn't disappointed with the fast moving, thouroughly gripping plot. I found that I couldn't put the book down, and felt that I was almost there with Sarah, Logan and Monty. I look forward to reading more of Iris Johansen's work, especially 'The Killing Game' and 'The Face of Deception'.

4.0 out of 5 stars Iris Johansen - A surprisingly good read, 7 Jul 2001
By kleekey@aol.com (Staffordshire) - See all my reviews
This is the first Johansen novel I'd come across. I am more of a Stephen King, James Herbert fan but this book held me in its grip from the first page to the last. Johansen has an easy to read style, with believable charaters and a plot with twists and turns that left me breathless. This will not be the last Johansen novel that I read. I am already missing John Logan, Eve Duncan, Sarah Patrick and of course Monty and Maggie. If you like your books action packed, fast paced with charaters that you can really care about then try Johansen, they don't come any better.
