4.0 out of 5 stars A Decent Crime Thriller, 6 Jul 2004
By Scottish Dave (Edinburgh, Scotland) - See all my reviews

This review is from: Fractions of Zero (Hardcover)
This is the second Billy Murphy novel and like the first is a decent 7/10 read.

It is based on a FBI agent who unwittingly becomes involved in tracking down what turns out to be a serial killer. There are clues left by the killer after each murder and with the help of a mathematician, the FBI agent finds each body.

The book has a number of twists to keep you going right to the end. The mathematical clues are interesting and add an extra dimension to the story.

I have to confess that I wasn't glued to this book. I read it over a couple of weeks (most unusual for me as I normally finish off a novel in 2-3 days). However, it was a well thought out story, well developed characters and plenty of twists.
