Emma Gold's book is the adventure of a single, Jewish girl battling to survive in the dating jungle. I loved this book primarily because of its honesty and humour. From the moment the heroine throws up her risotto and red wine out of some flashy BMW, we are taken on a helter-skelter ride through courtship, sex, and love. Emma's descriptions of her suitor's fumbling attempts at relationships are marvellously funny and bittersweet. There is no place in this book for soppy sentimentalism and I loved the author's raw honesty in describing the complexities of relationships. Any Mills and Boon diehards should stay away.

Emma Gold's brilliant, fascinating new novel "Easy', takes you deep into the mind of a woman who feels every fibre of her highly intelligent, sensual being. Nature will out! She may not be aware of it, but I think she's the modern existentialist. Perhaps after writing this book, she'll purge herself of her weak needs for the opposite sex, and treat them as just mere playthings to satiate her libinous desires. Animal is as animal does. Emma sucks them up and blows them out in bubbles...POP! And that's more than they deserve! Hey Emma, GO GIRL GO!

I was expecting a romantic story, with all the usual things - you know, girl meets boy, shags boy, boy doesnt respect her, girl gets new boy, old boy comes grovelling back, girl forgives him, we all live happily ever after.

Easy is brutally honest and really got me thinking. I felt every emotion with the main character and I loved her friends, Claudia, Jasmin and Gabriela. The characters are living life and and experiencing all its experiences and its not always good.

I recommend this book to any women who has been dissatisfied with some aspect of their life - work,drugs, men, men or men.

If i could change one thing I would ask that in Ms Golds next book (and i hope there is one) that the women have more succesful but not too high flying careers.

This book takes no prisoners, shows no mercy,is not for the faint hearted and is brilliant all at the same time, go and order it now!
