4.0 out of 5 stars Very useful!, 26 Jul 2005
All considered, this book is a very useful teaching aid. I am a biochemist and found this book useful for conveying KS4 physics to pupils. It takes you through the physics and also gives you some decent hints and tips on practicals. This last point is possibly the most useful part about the book. I, at least, have trouble thinking of imaginative, decent practicals if I am not entirely used to the subject matter

The reason that I have not given the book 5 stars is because it is a little dry in its delivery. I accept that this is a reference text, but it could, occasionally, make a littlemore effort to be more captivating!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for biology teachers!, 6 Jun 2006

As a biology teacher I find this a very useful book for the physics classes I have to teach. However, while good for GCSE and KS3 work I did not find it great for GNVQ.

If you have to teach physics - you should read this.
