My usually unimaginative Dad bought this for my birthday, although strictly speaking I guess it's also for my other half as it says it's only for couples: singles "may not buy it"! It's not another soppy self-help book as you'd think from the title, but a very funny and savvy take on relationships. You're meant to fill it in as a couple with details of your first date, best orgasms, arguments with each other and the like.

Only a very strange couple would actually do this seriously, but I don't think you're meant to (or at least we're not going to). But it's full of the small ironic details of love, like a chart where you're both supposed to tick "I love you" every day. Also it's beautifully designed. It's a bit on the pricey side if you don't manage to be given it like me, but hey is your love worth it?

Anyway it made my boyfriend laugh which is definitely a result...

You must all go out and buy this. Just the most perfect gift for boyfriend/girlfriend/lover. Makes you laugh outloud and I can vouch it changes the way you think and act towards your relationship. A must have, do yourself a favour, go and get it. Worth every penny.

My boyfriend and I bought this book after a brief flick through. On the surface, it's a love log book. The unfortunate thing is that, along with all the good ideas (places to record your holidays and the romantic highlights) there are at least twice as many crappy space filling parts.

I know it's supposed to be tongue in cheek but there's only so much rubbish a person can take. It's also a bit too intensive and your other half will get a little bored of you asking about their view on abortion/kittens/weapons of mass destruction.

I've heard that the diary that Benrik (two men, one name) produced is quite good. Unfortunately, the success seems to have gone to their heads and they've produced this nonsense.

Do yourself and your partner a favour - take them out for a nice meal instead of wasting £20 on this.
