The lives of Jane and the other characters are fascinating as they are easy to relate to. It is a book I could not put down. And I thought it was anything but disappointing. I thought this book was extremely good precisely because the main focus of the book was not on Cassie's weight loss. Although Cassie's role is important, many other issues are dealt with expertly!

As soon as I saw the title I knew I'd like the book. It starts off funny, Cassie is going to have to lose weight or lose her gallbladder, she has a boyfriend who loves her as she is. She joins a gym...all the right ingrediants but as I read on it lost the sparkle in it's initial appeal. It centers round the gym and the new owner Jane, we read about her and how she is managing with her new job as gym boss (with staff who resent her). The story is mainly about Jane and not as much about Cassie and her weightloss efforts (which I thought it would be about). It's really about Fit Not Fat gym and the people and their everyday lives which aren't as interesting as they might be! I have read other Sherry Ashworth bookd and enjoyed them, shame this was a bit dissapointing.
