4.0 out of 5 stars Realistic enough to be slightly disturbing, 14 Mar 2001
By A Customer
And you thought teacher's summer hoidays were boring... This book is the rollercoaster six-week 'break' of the main character Cee Harper. Cee is a secondary school teacher trying to be good and fighting her conscience which tells her to stay on the straight and narrow whilst in search of her missing, wayward, drug taking, all swindling, bass playing brother Dennie in the crack riddled sub-culture of London. The book portrays the underworld in an accurate and at times scary light which makes you damned glad to be on the right side of it all. It made me stay up and read and wore me out.
