OK, it's a romance. And as a man, I was not targeted by the publisher as the ideal reader. Nevermind. I read it and enjoyed it through and through. So much that it took me three days only, including 2 sleepless nights, to reach the last page of the book. It's funny, it's got wit, fizz and enough serious thoughts about love and relationship to make the novel much more than a simple summer read.
OK, it's a romance, but a good one and who cares about pigeon-holes?

A delightful, fresh and insightful comic novel.I would suggest putting it in your holiday suitcase now. Two modern young couples with troubled marriages swap homes, countries and lifestyles for a Holiday Exchange summer and experience the ultimate culture shock, one that really does lead to new perceptions, experiences and changed relationships[especially sexually] Moving between Leicester,England and Melbourne Australia with complete assurance Lou Wakefield gets right inside the hearts and minds of two very different women learning painful truths about themselves and their partners and adapting in their various ways. She writes with warmth, wit and humour and a real feel for the way we all cope now with multi-cultured life in the 21st century.

Bought this book after seeing it recommended as a great read about comic relationships on a book review site called lovereading.co.uk. Truly funny tale of two house-swapping couples with husbands who are either not performing or performing too much in the bedroom department. The author has a keen eye and and very humorous take on human foibles and shenanigans in the bedroom. She gets better with each book. Read this and laugh!
