This book basically consists of four parts: woman is being blackmailed by mean s.o.b. into having sex with him / woman discovers that hubby is behind this / woman decides to turn the tables / woman goes all-out in a no-holes, no partners barred frenzy of sexual adventures. It may be just me, but I would have expected the last part to take up at least 50-60% of the book. As it is, the first part of the story takes up so much space that I actually looked on the last page to see if this was a "to be continued in part II" kind of story. And this first part is I think only exciting if you like joyless sex... And the part where the heroine so to speak opens up to her newly discovered sexual urges is crammed into the last chapters which give you more than anything else, an indication of how hot this book might have been if the author had only spaced the story differently.

This has got to be one of my favourites by Ray Gordon. The heroine, Jane, is an amazing character whose psycholigical games reveal a dark plot against her. Discovering the shocking truth, she doesn't break under the strain but ... Read it for yourself. I wonder how many situations there are like this is real life. Probably far more than I imagine. A good read, brilliant and varied sex and a story line which leaves me wondering about my next door neighbours - and my husband!

I have to disagree with the reader from Holland. It was the psychology of the heroine that intrugued me and, yes, she did reveal all at the end of the book. I thought the way the author slowly built the story was very good. For me, the story was in many parts. From blackmail to frustration to submission to the discovery of the protaganist, the story unfolded beautifully. And the end ... Revenge so sweet! Nice one, Mr Gordon.
