Product Description

Product Description

From the creators of "They Think It's All Over", this is a twisted and amusing history of Manchester United Football Club. It relives the comical moments from the last 30 years, including the thrashings, the humiliating Cup defeats, and the shameful exits from Europe. It contains the fictional diaries of Manchester United fans, from Truro to Trondheim and a "Pin Manchester on the Map" game to play with your friends.

1.0 out of 5 stars SAD PEOPLE, 9 Nov 2007

I cant beleive there are sad and bitter people out there who would spend there money on this book apart from the odd and I mean odd man city fan who would rather spend their money reading about united than on their own club which not many of them do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Glorious, Tells It How It Is For The Team Everyone Hates!, 2 Jun 2003

Personally I'm a Liverpool supporter so naturally I can't stand Manchester United. But be you a Leeds, Arsenal, Manchester City, Gillingham, Exeter, Derby, Everton, Sunderland, Celtic, Spartak Moscow, Atalanta, Real Madrid or San Jose Earthquakes fan, this book is for everyone who hasn't sunk to the level of supporting them. The humiliating defeats such as when they went down 4-0 at Anfield and a number of painful days in Southampton are wonderful to read about. But my favourite is the story of the teams demise from European Champions in 1968 to washed-up, bumbling losers in 1974. Manchester United winning the premiership was a revolting sight to behold and I sincerely hope it'll be the last, I'd rather Everton win it! But no matter what they win I and most other people will always hate them. This book is my Bibel. Let's hope they get relegated in the next few years and crumble away into nothing as the most despised team in history!

5.0 out of 5 stars A joy for all Man City fans, 19 Nov 1999
At last, a book that doesn't suck up to the myth of red superiority! This is a fun read for all but biased red fans and celebrates some of the most satisfying defeats suffered by United, not least of which, when a Denis Law goal for Man City relegated United to the old first division. A must read for all United fans who are 18 or younger and don't yet realise that football success comes in cycles.
