4.0 out of 5 stars Exciting, entertaining and fun. Don't miss it., 11 April 2000

I can't believe that no-one's reviewed this yet!

Jon Courtenay Grimwood has written a wee cracker of a book that just serves to illustrate that UK SF is not hidebound by the straightjacket of past success.

Characters that live a life that's within an up to the minute, fast paced technothriller and who grab you by the balls and wont let go.

If I have any reservations... the writing is maybe not as polished as some of his counterparts. This is a first novel though. Buy it and the subsequent books if you like your fiction to be entertaining and fun.

Who does he compare too? Well, I'd suggest Gibson, Sterling and Stephenson, but closer to Stephenson's crackin' Snow Crash than the others.
