A gentle story of young Alice's experience of New Year's Eve, 1999. While her baby sister is born at home, Alice joins her grandfather, ringing in the new millennium on the church bells and discussing time and people, the past and the future. Richly illustrated with Jason Cockcroft's beautiful pencil drawings, this is the story I wrote to help my own three children, aged 5, 8 and 10,to think about the new millennium which will be theirs to use.
