It's focus on the critical areas is excellent, using diagrams and simplefacts to help the reader understand, rather than learn parrot-fashion. A plethora of high quality photographs also serve the book well. Also, it is modestly priced and not too big. It covers all surgical examinations in sufficient detail for preparation for any OSCE exam. I have not yet come across any book that can describe examinations of patients without bombardment of detail or only scraping across the surface, but this book manages to strike the balance. An essential aid to any clinical student of any year, with photographs of real cases, this book should be on the bookshelf of every medical student's personal library.
