Product Description

Product Description
The second part of the "House of Stewart" trilogy, the other titles being "Lords of Misrule" and "Captive Crown". Scotland at the dawn of the 15th century was a wretched spectacle. While the feeble Robert the Third still clung to the throne, his kingdom was torn by warring factions.

4.0 out of 5 stars Eye opening,intresting historic reading., 26 April 2001
The second of the "Stewart" triology,if the story is'nt the exact truth it should be. The subjects fill your heart with love, hope, loathing, anger and wishful thinking. Wishing that Scotland's Kings,Earls,Aristorocy and subjects (some not all)had cared more for the Scottish people than their own land and riches and petty squabbles. Tranent once again shows the strengths and weaknessess of a country at odds with it's self. This story has me desperately wishing I owned a copy of "The Captive Crown"(third of the triology) so that I can find out what becomes of Jamie Douglas and his highland host.
