It's a great guide to the world of UNIX and Linux for everyone (especially if you dont have much knowledge on the subject - like me). It takes you through the basics, starting with simple examples while introducing you to the UNIX/Linux vocabulary and then working up to more advanced topics. It remains concise by means of a careful selection of material while still ensuring everything is covered and explained in a simple way. This makes it really understandable and easy to read. The one thing that is obvious as soon as you start reading this book is that it has been written by authors with very effective communication skills (something some authors lack).
