Amazon.co.uk Review

When the boo-hoo baby cries, he certainly does it in style, and Cat, Dog, Cow and Duck are at a loss as to what to do to keep him happy. They try feeding him, bathing him and playing with him but nothing works...until eventually they find the perfect solution.

What Shall We Do With The Boo Hoo Baby? is an engaging and utterly charming picture book that will strike a chord with siblings coming to terms with a new arrival and parents who are getting to grips with a tiny baby in the house. Simple, bold illustrations filled with humorous and imaginative detail help make this a sure-fire winner with children and adults alike, but the simple, easy-to-follow text makes it ideal for reading along with very young children. (Ages 18 months to 3 years) --Susan Harrison

5.0 out of 5 stars Four animals try to find why the baby's crying ........., 19 Oct 2001
By A Customer
Poor old duck, cat, dog and cow try everthing out to try and find out why the boo hoo baby keeps saying "boo hoo hoo". They echo every parents' frustration at being faced by crying baby, and try feeding, playing, and bathing him but of course the answer was simple in the end..... bed !
My son loved this book from about a year as it introduced the animals and their noises to him. Even to this day if we scrunch up our faces and say " boo hoo hoo " he falls about laughing.!

4.0 out of 5 stars A hit from early on, 29 Aug 2003
By A Customer
This is the first book I both my now 10-month old daughter, when she was only 4 months old. It's been a hit from the start. She loves the repetition and the animal noises, and I love the pictures. They're clear enough for her, and have enough extra to keep me amused after 6 months - like the duck with the rubber ring in the bathroom!

4.0 out of 5 stars If only babies came with a mute button, 23 April 2003
The boo-hoo baby won't stop crying and the dog, the cat, the duck and the cow try everything they can think of to deal with it. Lots of scope for funny noises to entrance the very young, enough detail to entertain the toddler (cat tries to feed the baby on what looks suspiciously like cat food) and the whole thing brings a wry smile to the frazzled parent who knows just what it's like to have a boo-hoo baby.
