4.0 out of 5 stars Continues to be among the best, 17 Feb 2005
By D. Duckfield "daved" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Jo Bannister's Castlemead Series continues to show what a really good author she is. The book itself is full of beautiful gems of throw away lines coupled with a very good, tense and compelling plot. The only complaint I have is that the last couple of books have largely ignored the DI's husband (Brian) - this is sad as there was a really good plot line developing with him prior to this book and I was anticipating a real showdown with the pair of them (he has been treated really badly by the DI all through the series). Apart from that, a really good book well worth reading.
