Product Description

Product Description
When Rosie finds a tiny, tartan sock in her bedroom she's sure it could only fit one thing - a fairy! Mum tells Rosie not to be so silly, fairies don't exist. Then the old lady who live next door tells Rosie that Mum's the one who's silly, fairies are everywhere if you know how to look. And they love chocolate. Rosie's not sure who to believe until she sees something in the grass at the top of the moor and then she can hardly believe her eyes. It's fluttering and tiny and magical. Could it really be a fairy...?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fairy Tale For Mums As Well!, 8 Jan 2004
By cladonald (Scotland) - See all my reviews
I bought this book with the intention of reading it to my 7year old daughter. After she had read it by herself THREE times she suggested I should borrow it! What a beautiful story. A modern fairy tale that incorporates all the magical elements of a traditional fairy story whilst also addressing such sensitive issues as child death and seperated parents. Featuring Snowdrop, a traditional petal-clad fairy and Cammie, a tartan-clad Wee Man, this book is an absolute delight and I would recommend it to all young girls - and their mums. A tear-jerker with a thought-provoking but very satisfying ending, this book has something for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fairy Dust, 12 Feb 2004
Fairy Dust is a book about a girl named Rosie who believes in fairies but her mom does not. She goes through lots of work trying to save her fairy friend SnowDrop. I gave this book 5 stars because it is magical and spell-binding. This book is great for ages 9 and up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fairy Dust is quite good, 25 May 2004
The book 'Fairy Dust' by Gwyneth Rees is really good because it stays on topic and is about fairies. It also explains where fairies live, what they do, and the title appeals to me. Fairy Dust. Sounds to me like it's going to be about fairies - and I like fairies!
