5.0 out of 5 stars abduction, 22 Jan 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Abduction (Paperback)
Absolutely fabulous read! I've always enjoyed Robin Cook books as they are cleverly written. This is a change from his usual subject being a little more 'science fiction' but once again meticulously researched and a gripping read! Chromosone 6 was good but this is even better. More like this please!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Abduction? Take it away..., 25 July 2002
By EFMOL "eugeneol" (Dublin) - See all my reviews

This review is from: Abduction (Hardcover)
This was my first (and possibly last) Robin Cook book which I purchased on impulse in the Airport on the way to a week's holiday in the sun. I should be more careful with my impulses.

The book starts out well with interesting, if unspectacular, scene setting. As an ex-SCUBA diver myself, I found the drilling and diving scenes good to read until the main characters reached the bottom of the sea. From here the story goes rapidly down hill and loses what little plot the book has. The characters are weak, but I kept going to the end hoping in vain that it would improve. As for the end? I'll not spoil it for anyone here, but what a let down it was.

Abduction - only for Robin Cook fans.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nope...not worth reading, 19 Mar 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Abduction (Audio Cassette)
Having read and enjoyed all of his previous books I was very excited to pick up this copy in the States last year...but Oh boy...what a disappointment...I congratulate myself for acutally finishing it...even though the last page was good! that's why I could afford to give it one star if it hadn't had that ending I would have given it -5. Very loose story line..bad bad bad unfullfilled characters...sorry story line...not even well thought out........all in all..Mr. Cook..you've done TONS better...go back to what you do best... Mega disappointment!
