Product Description

Aussie Madeline Wolfe has left her home, her surfboard and her hemisphere for the new man in her life. Alexander Drake, indisputed King of the TV jungle, gives the best cunnilingus this side of a detachable shower nozzle. He's also the kind of bloke who goes through the Tunnel of Love holding his own hand. By the time Maddy discovers that it's not just Alex's feet but his entire body that's made of clay, she's taken a pregnancy test . . . and failed. Will Alex chicken out of his obligation to his egg?

4.0 out of 5 stars This book made me laugh and worry!, 17 Aug 1999
By A Customer
Having already read and loved Altar Ego, I also found this book very entertaining. Her comments about men and the English are affectionately cutting and some of her sentences make me want to laugh out loud on the tube. It makes you wake up and smell the coffee if you are feeling at all broody, but it doesn't put you off completely. She forms the characters very well and you really feel you are there with them. It's a quick book to read because you can't wait to see what happens next.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great fun - tale of an australian woman in London, 26 Feb 1999
By A Customer
Kathy Lette is an author you should look out for if you are interested in reading a funny book - particularly about modern women. (Most other humourous authors I read are men). Her protagonist is an Australian in London - and Lette uses this fact to poke fun at the British and men in particular. (Oh ok, and womrn too).

Kathy Lette doesn't let us down! She maintains her tremendous sarcasm/witty writing throughout the book. I didn't want to put it down! Very addictive.
