5.0 out of 5 stars First-rate detective thriller, 6 Sep 2001
By A Customer
Ms McGown just gets better and better. Like a latter-day Agatha Christie, she seamslessly weaves suspects, clues and red herrings together in a way that, unlike many of her contemporaries, doesn't seem forced or contrived. Lloyd and Hill are a team who, like Morse, delight and infuriate the reader in equal measure. A superb book, easy to read, engrossing and the work of an author at the height of her considerable powers. Highly recommended.
