By A Customer
For the first time, a Jill McGown novel that falls slightly short of her usually high standards. The plot is a little confusing at the outset, given that several male characters are all introduced at once and don't seem different enough to distinguish between them. This leads to difficulty later in the book in sorting out who's who and why they did what. However, the denouement is typically ingenious and even a disappointment from Ms McGown is a crime novel head and shoulders above most other writers. Still recommended, albeit with reservations.
