Product Description

What was the Wind Eye? What did it have to do with the ancient sailing boat, which no one wanted them to use? And how were Michael and Beth going to protect Sally and the whole family from Cuddy and the terrible forces at work on the Farne Islands? By the author of "Yaxley's Cat" and "Fathom Five".

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing!!!, 16 Jun 2003
This was one of the best books I had ever read as a child. It gripped me right from the very beginning and pulled you into a world of history and the battle between good and evil. Would recommend it to anyone. Simply Amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant book , 27 Nov 2008
This review is from: The Wind Eye (Paperback)
This is a brilliantly written book - a time travel story about a family staying in an old house on the Northumbrian coast, who find an old boat that takes them back in time to the Farne islands at the time of St Cuthbert. It starts as a quirky, funny story about a dysfunctional family, but there is suspense, adventure, emotion there too. It was one of the earliest novels Westall wrote, soon after the Machine Gunners, and is one of his best.
