All the usual elements are here . If you've read as far as this in the continuing tale of our hero you'll be in familiar waters. The add on here is the growing complexity of Bolitho's private life which is a welcome diversion for the reader and helps paint a broader picture of the man. Even so the characters remain rather 2 dimensional in the main away from the pricipals. All in all another stirring tale which doesn't disappoint especially in the descriptions of combat and the black and white morals of our hero.
